“My mom Olga Yurkovska (Solodovnyk at birth) was born in the family of blacksmith and collective farmeress in Obukhiv in Kyiv region in 1935. After finishing secondary school she went to Kyiv and worked there as shop-clerk at a dairy products shop on Chervonoarmiis'ka St. (now Velyka Vasylkivska). After finishing vocational trade school she started working as the assistant director in a food store in the center of Kyiv. She is now retired and lives in Kyiv.”
