"This is a photo of my mother Natalia Ksaverova (on the right) and her best friend Olha Moskalets. This photo was taken by a street photographer on Independence Square (on the left you can see the Main Post Office). The cardigan on my mother, I think, was bought in Vilnius the same year. Although I don't remember it, there are still photos of my mother in this city in the summer of 1986, and the cardigan itself was a model of the so-called "Baltic knitwear". She loved this cardigan very much. Even though I don't remember her wearing it after years 92-93, she refused to throw it away, although it wasn't hard for her to get rid of things. This is her only piece of clothing that has survived to this day."
