NGO "Sknylivska Trahediia"
The collection was provided by Ivan Kuts, the head of the NGO “Sknylivska Trahediia”. The collection includes 24 printed photographs, a poster, an exhibition catalog, and a collection of poems. The collection materials are dated 2002, 2003, and 2018. All materials in the collection are related to the Sknyliv tragedy, which occurred on July 27, 2002 at the Sknyliv airfield in Lviv. As a result of the plane crashing into spectators that day, 77 people died. The collection of organisation contains photographs from that day: the events leading up to the tragedy, the moment the plane crashed, and what happened at the airfield after the explosion. A significant part of the photographs in the collection were already exhibited at the "77 Ianholiv" (“77 Angels”) exhibition held in Lviv in 2003. This is evidenced by the exhibition catalog, which is part of the collection. Finally, the collection includes a collection of poems on the tragedy, written by Zinovii Halaiko, one of those who lost loved ones in Sknyliv. The collection of poems is dated 2018. Some photos from this collection may contain sensitive information, so they can only be viewed from the access point in the premises of the Center for Urban History.
