Valentyna Holoshenko
Valentyna Holoshenko's collection includes four Super 8 films made between 1987 and 1991 in the Kyiv region.
The films document moments from private life: walks, household chores and everyday life, celebrations, feasts, weddings, as well as scenes from public spaces in Kyiv – the Kyiv Zoo and the platform of the Central Railway Station.
One of the films in the collection contains a recording of the television broadcast of "The Navigator" (1986), presumably to capture the appearance of an American cultural product on television.
The collection also includes films with political themes, showing a rally outside the military commissariat.
The films were digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
