The collection consists of six Super 8 films made between 1985 and 1987. Thematically, they cover three subject areas: home movies, political, and industrial.

Home movies depict travel and walks, household chores and everyday life, leisure time with family and friends, and weddings. This thematic group is dominated by episodes of portrait photography of a young woman in public spaces in Moscow, Kyiv, and Lviv, alongside architectural landmarks and recreational areas.

Political episodes in the films record the course and routes of the October and May Day demonstrations in Lviv. In particular, one of the films shows that the columns of participants formed on First May Street (Horodotska) near St. Anne's Church, passed the praesidium on Lenin Avenue (Svobody) and marched to Yaroslav Halan Square (Petrushevycha).

The industrial footage is dedicated to the Soviet energy industry, in particular, visits to the Lukoml Hydroelectric Power Plant and the Vilnius Thermal Power Plant.

The collection includes footage from the following cities: Tbilisi, Gori, Sukhumi, Chisinau, Moscow, Lviv, Pochaiv, Kyiv, and Vilnius.

The films were digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
