Sloviansk Museum of Local History

The collection includes presentation, reporting, and gift albums in various formats.

Thematically, the albums document anniversary celebrations, May Day demonstrations and “Victory Day”, sporting events, the GTO (Ready for Labour and Defence) physical fitness programme, the work of the women’s council, leisure activities, and environmental protection.

Some albums were made using mass-produced album blanks, including those manufactured by the Lviv Factory of Paper and Stationery Products named after the 25th Congress of the CPSU. The albums were decorated with readily available materials, such as gouache, coloured pencils, newspaper clippings, and postcards. A significant part of their contents consists of printed photographs documenting various events and activities.

The collection comprises 29 albums. This description will be updated once all the albums have been digitised and processed.
