"It’s a picture of Olena Luhova (on the left) and her friend Halia Yachnyk (on the right). It is autumn of 1944, Olena recently recovered from typhus and entered the history department of Chernivtsi State University. Olena studied for two years in Chernivtsi, and then transferred to the third year at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. At that time, all Olena's clothes were sewn by her mother Oleksandra Havrylivna Luhova".
