A view of Khreshchatyk street from
the Tsarska square - Place Royale (early twentieth century). On the right one can
see cabs waiting for passengers near the <i>Yevropeiska</i>
hotel; in the
middle, there is an early built tram. Though one can see electric
posts between them, which are to indicate the electrification of the
tram, the latter’s construction is more in line with early versions
of the horse and steam tram.</p><p><i>Olga Martyniuk</i></p>
