To the right the buildings No. 6 to 8 of May 1 St. (former Hetmanska St. was renamed May 1 St. in 1945, and bore the name of Lenin Boulevard in 1959-1991. Now Liberty Boulevard). Since the early 1960s, for no known reason, the postcards with views of the fountain in the Mickiewicz Sq. were hardly published anymore. However, this place remained very popular among Lviv’s residents and tourists, which is evidenced by numerous photographs of various years, originating from private collections.
