An interview with the wife of the head of the troupe, a worker at an academy.  The woman tells in detail about the six decades in the theatre’s life, recalls and evaluates a number of performances. The interviewee remembers in detail all the changes in the staff and the peculiarities of the roles. She gives an outside perspective on theatre, at the same time, she has been closely tied to the theatrical life, watched the rehearsals, attended premiers, made friends with the theatre workers. She describes her husband’s life with all its hurdles, points to the specific features of the profession of the head of a troupe, details on the professional requirements, and a daily workload. She happily talks about her relatives, lovingly recalls her husband. As an academy teacher, she did everything to engage her students to go to a theatre and was happy when they recalled the performances as a celebration.
Recorded in two sessions at the Center for Urban History: the first meeting took place on 22nd August 2013, the second one – 27th August 2013. The interviewer – Natalia Otrishchenko.
