An interview with a decorator, then – a theatre production designer, the Honored Artist of Ukraine. The conversation begins with the interviewee recalling his coming to work in the theatre and cooperation with Yevhen Lysyk. The man recalls the heyday of the theatre – 60s and 70s, when it employed a whole galaxy of actors, analyzes the impact of the Soviet government on staffing and repertoire choices, describes his favourite works and tells about the performance he would like to stage, but has not had an opportunity yet.
