- Description:
- The category is formed around stories about special places or cities in Ukraine (and Poland, as several conversations were recorded in December 2013 in Warsaw and Lublin), which have a symbolic meaning and are important in terms of the overall history of events. The participants of the interviewing determine the locations where the Euromaidan started, talk about the special "genius loci" that fills Independence Square, think about the structure of maidan's space, note the role of monuments to Taras Shevchenko as markers of the squares in Kharkiv and Lviv. Finally, some of the narrators offer a mental definition of maidan instead of a spatial one.
