A series of photos of the Kyiv first<br />

gymnasium students shows them at the time of different classes and<br />

during recreation; we can see physics, biology and drawing lessons in<br />

specialized classrooms, parade drills and sport exercises in the<br />

garden. In this picture, the gymnasium students can be seen on a<br />

skating-rink, most figures in the center are wearing skates. The<br />

skating-rink was situated in the courtyard of the gymnasium<br />

(Bibikovsky (now Tarasa Shevchenka) boulevard, now the “Yellow<br />
