Description
The film contains footage of three weddings:

1) 00:00:03 - 00:05:47 — Korziuk’s wedding. Wedding guests dance to the accordion on the street in front of the house. A wedding ritual: men pull a cart with brides and ribboned branches through the flames, carrying a piece of meat on a stick ahead of them. A boy tries on the bridegroom’s cap. Guests dance. The meat is offered to guests on a stick, and they take a bite. Vodka is served. The feast. Musicians play, guests sing. Songs performed: Polissia Sayings (Поліські приказушки) and Shchedryk (lyrics by Oleksandr Bohachuk, music by Ivan Slyta), and And My Sweetheart Wants Varenyky.

2) 00:05:48 - 00:07:21 — Wedding. The hostess serves varenyky at the feast. Men push a wheelbarrow with the bride and groom toward a ditch by the road. Guests drink vodka from a kettle. A young man wears the uniform of a road trooper.

3) 00:07:22 - 00:10:43 — Rubets’s wedding. Men pull a wheelbarrow with the bride and groom along the village street, accompanied by guests and an accordion. Vodka is drunk from a kettle. The wheelbarrow with the newlyweds is pulled through flames. Guests dance. Polissia Sayings plays.

The film’s sound design consists of musical compositions.
