The film contains an amateur film about the harvest on the Rassvet collective farm and a rally honoring its foremost workers:
1) 00:00:08 - 00:04:09 — Collective farm Rassvet. A combine harvester in the field. The head of the collective farm, Andrii Olexandrovych Mazepa, checks the quality of the ears and speaks with the combine operator. Women are shoveling grain in the field. Anatolii Matviyenko, a member of the farm's party committee, talks to a worker. Harvesting of flax with a tractor. Mykola Hrytsai, head of the mechanization department of the October Revolution collective farm, together with Andrii Mazepa. Hrytsai appears alongside chief engineer Viacheslav Savchenko. Cows graze in the field. A truck transports flax. Panoramic views of village streets. A voice-over commentary describes the farm’s infrastructure and leadership.
2) 00:04:10 - 00:15:56 — Entrance to the House of Culture. A rally in honor of the collective farm’s leading workers. Performances by young people. General and close-up views of the audience. Speech by the party committee secretary Anatolii Markovych. Addresses by labor leaders. Pioneers recite poems and present flowers to labor veterans. Speech by Andrii Mazepa. Girls present a loaf of bread to the presidium. The loaf is shared with the audience. Choir performance accompanied by accordion. Portrait shots of children. A speech by Zhuk. Monuments to those fallen in World War II. Pioneers lay flowers on mass graves. The eternal flame. Andrii Mazepa stands in a field of barley. Panoramic village shots filmed from a moving car. Voiceover narration is provided by L. Petrenko, with additional commentary by Dmytro Kozel and Halyna (Kozel) Antonenko. The film’s sound design includes marching tunes and folk songs performed by choirs.
