The photographer immortalized the buildings of the eastern part of the Market Square: No. 2 - the famous Bandinelli tenement house, from 1629 the first Lviv post office operated here; in 1811-1874 - the Karl Wild bookstore, where in 1842 the first daguerreotype depicting Lviv by Prof. J. Gloysner was exhibited for viewing; in 1845 the first engraving studio in Lviv based on the English model opened on the second floor; No. 3 - the Zhevusky tenement house, built in 1772 by architect Piotr Poleiowski; No. 4 - "Black Tenement House", built in 1589 by architects Pavel Rymlianyn and Piotr Barbon. The fourth floor was added in 1884. In 1911 the tenement house became the property of the city, on September 22, 1929 an exhibition was opened here Historical Museum; No. 5 - Lukashevych's tenement house, from 1577 - the property of Sophia Ganel, the founder of St. Sophia's Church.
