Bernardynska Square was formed around 1650 after the partial liquidation of the city fortifications, its dominant feature is the Bernardine Church. Once, in the center of Bernardynska Square, a grain market bustled around a well. The tenement houses of the square housed several cheap inns, which eventually turned into hotels. On the left side of the image, you can see signs for a candy store and a brewery, as well as a sign with the inscription "Oil".
