The collection of Vitaliy Matukhno includes the photo films found in the ruins of a house in Lysychansk (Zelenyi Hai village).
Vitaliy Matukhno found the photo from the 1970/80’s in Lysychansk, in an abandoned residential house. The author, the people depicted, or the owners have not been identified. The photos depict various stories, possibly from the life of one family, such as people on picnics outside the city, weddings and family dinners, a railway checkpoint and the railway workers, the country house, winter scenery, people at the bus station No 1 that is not functional any longer. Some photos show trips to other cities that have not been identified. There are also many portraits where people intentionally posed in fancy clothes in the open air, such as near the Siverskyi Donets river.
The photos show how people spent time in public and private spaces, and how they posed for portraits.
The five found VHS tapes containing recordings of programmes and news bulletins from the Lysychansk Television and Radio Company "Akcent" include the news programmes "News" and "Events", produced between 2001 and 2006, featuring reports from Lysychansk, Siverskodonetsk, Rubizhne and Pryvillia, as well as the original programmes "The Beautiful Impulses of the Soul", "The Tipping Point", "Dialogue", "City Avenue", "Everyone's talking about it" and "A Serious Conversation".
The programme recordings document the activities of local authorities, preparations for the 2001 All-Ukrainian Population Census, the course of the 2002 parliamentary election campaign, the work of municipal services and industrial enterprises, the development of telecommunications infrastructure, and the functioning of educational and healthcare institutions. A separate group of features consists of reports on exhibitions, concerts, sporting events and professional celebrations, as well as interviews with representatives from the worlds of culture, sport, education, medicine, local government and civil society organisations.
