The collection consists of thirty-three films made between 1966 and 1988 on Super 8 and 8mm film. The author of the films is Bohdan Konovart.
The films document moments from private life that were typical of home movies of that time: childcare, children's games and leisure activities, family vacations, walks and trips, school life, celebrations and festivities, feasts and weddings. The films mostly feature Bogdan Konowart's daughters—Uliana, Marta, and Yaryna.
A special place in the film collection is held by episodes of Uliana and Marta playing music. They studied piano and cello at the S. Krushelnytska Music Boarding School.
Some of Bohdan Konowart's films have a distinct artistic concept and implementation and are creative or comedic sketches: Uliana and Marta's preparations for first grade, a New Year's fairy tale based on "In the Forest, Dark Forest," and a home evening with comedy performances and musical numbers – “Uliana's Graduation.”
The films in the collection feature public spaces and tourist and recreational areas of Soviet Ukraine, including parks and central streets of Lviv, the Carpathians, and Black Sea resorts.
The collection includes footage from the following cities: Lviv, Yalta, Yevpatoria, Odesa, and Ochakiv.
The films were digitised as part of the project "Safeguarding Ukrainian Heritage of Amateur Films and Home Movies", implemented with the support of The Modern Endangered Archives Program.
