Description

The postcard shows a public bath for men (“Herrenschwimmbad”) at the river Pruth in Chernivts. Pubilc baths were a very popular recreation area for the inhabitants of Chernivtsi already before World War one. The photo most probably shows the municipal public path (“Städtisches Flussbad”) a little upstream from the two bridges across the Pruth.
