The photo shows the Rathausstrasse (Str. Regina Maria, vul. Tscherwonoarmijska) as seen from the Austria Platz (P. Ghica Voda, Soborna pl.) <br />
The low building on the corner belongs to the first generation of stone buildings in Chernivtsi, dating back to the first half of the 19th.c. <br />
It ís home to one of the many beer halls (Bierhalle, Berarie) that existed in Chernivtsi and has been replaced by appartment buildings in the meantime. <br /><em>Helmut Kusdat</em>
