The building of the k.k. Staatsgewerbeschule (vocational school) was finished in 1884 in Neue Welt Gasse (Str. Marasesti, vul.Shevtchenka). Pupils had to finish four grades of a middle school or Gymnasium in order to qualify for the vocational school.
The sign on the facade of the opposite house seems to appeal rather to illiterates.
