Description

Fundukleivska (now Bohdana Khmelnytskoho) street at the turn of the twentieth century. The first version of the crisscross tram line can be seen. The four-storied houses have just appeared on this street. The street is paved with cobblestones; the traffic is rather active, in particular, cabs can be seen. With the introduction of tramway the public welfare of the city was improved and some new tram interchanges were made; specifically, trams started to move actively on some streets or parts of them, and that is why the traffic was divided into two opposite directions.
