From left to right: Petro Oleksandrovych Bohadytsia, Yevheniya Seraphymivna Bohadytsia and Mykola Seraphymovych Zurnadzhi, Yevheniya's brother. The owner of the archive comments: ‘This is the only surviving photo of Petro Oleksandrovych and Mykola Seraphymovych. They were both repressed on 23 December 1938. Most likely, they were both tortured and shot. In 1960, a response came to a request stating that Petro was ‘rehabilitated for lack of evidence of a crime’ and a certificate from the registry office stating that he died in 1944 due to stomach cancer. There was no information about Mykola at all.’
Additionally: The memoirs of the archive owner's grandfather, Oleksandr Bohadytsia, were published in the newspaper "Sobytiya" ["Events," eng.], in the section "Starinnoe foto" ("Old Photo," eng.]
