A house on the embankment of the Uzhhorod neighborhood of Galago (Galagov, the word "galago" means "swamp", which had to be drained to build this section). Since 1935, the newly created embankment has been called Masaryk's Embankment, now it is the Independence Embankment. The section on the right bank of the Uzh River was designed in the early 1920s by professor of architecture A. Liebscher. Administrative buildings were concentrated here, 150 million crowns were spent on their construction in the late 1920s and early 1930s. By 1936, about 30 residential buildings had been built here. The photo was taken between 1923 and 1928: in 1923, the regulation of the Uzh River began, its bank was strengthened, and in 1928, linden trees were planted on the embankment, a long linden alley still exists today.
