View of the Uzhhorod Castle of the 9th - 13th centuries from the north side, from the current streets of Fedyntsya and Pidgradska. The outer walls were built in 1653-1658, the last reconstructions of the castle took place in 1709-1710, it was then that it received its modern appearance. In 1715-1776, a military garrison was located in the castle, in 1776-1945 - the Uzhhorod Theological Seminary. In 1945-1947, a military unit was located here, and in 1947 all the buildings were transferred to the Transcarpathian Museum of Local Lore.
