The film contains an amateur sketch about the establishment of Soviet rule:
1) 00:00:16 - 00:04:49 — Spring flood landscapes. Storks. The village of Atiusha: St. Nicholas Church, a leaning house, viburnum alongside sunflowers. A costumed reenactment of the harvest by women, men, and children dressed in folk costumes. Men mow wheat while women stack sheaves. They gather around a blind kobzar, offering him bread. Villagers listen attentively to the bandura player, singing along.
2) 00:04:50 - 00:06:51 — A cart with the noble approaches. As one of them speaks to the peasants, barking noises accompany his words. A peasant woman soothes a crying child. The nobleman pushes the kobzar out of the field.
3) 00:06:52 - 00:09:19 — Soviet horsemen arrive, bringing the "flame of revolution." The peasants begin to push the noblemen away. The wagon driver chases off the noble lady, while a peasant woman pulls her by the headscarf. The peasants climb onto the cart of the noblemen. St. Nicholas Church. A memorial service for Tsar Nicholas II is held.
4) 00:09:20 - 00:11:16 — Village views overlaid with double exposure of flames, symbolizing the beginning of World War II. A young woman with children in a field. Off-screen, a quote from Taras Shevchenko’s poem And Archimedes and Galileo... is read. Awarding of the best combine harvesters. A pioneer blows a bugle. Pioneers and children present flowers to the harvesters. Women offer workers and children a loaf of bread.
5) 00:11:17 - 00:13:34 — Collective farm workers harvesting with combines and trucks in the field. Tractor drivers working. View of the Desna River.
The film was directed by Dmytro Kozel, V. Nikitin, and L. Petrenko.
The soundtrack features poetic voice-over narration by L. Petrenko and an elderly man, accompanied by folk songs.
