The film contains an amateur film about the Ukrainian Language Day:
1) 00:00:09 - 00:03:33 — A school classroom. An inscription on the blackboard reads: “Like a song, you flow, native word, beloved mother tongue!” A portrait of Taras Shevchenko. A celebration of the Ukrainian language takes place with teachers and children dressed in folk costumes. They take turns reciting poetry. Portrait views of the audience.
The song Native Language (Рідна мова) by Pavlo Dvorsky is played. Taras Shevchenko’s poem Well, What Would the Words Seem... (Ну що б, здавалося, слова...) is read out.
2) 00:03:34 - 00:10:25 — The Hrytsai family performs Ukrainian songs with an accordion. Children dance in a circle. The song I'm Sitting at the Edge of the Window (Сиджу я край віконечка) by the Marenych Trio is played. Women dance in pairs. The song Moon Wheel (Місячне колесо) by Ivo Bobul plays. Portrait shots of children. Children and adults sing folk songs in a choir, accompanied by musical instruments. The Cossacks Are Coming (Їдуть козаченьки) is played.
