An interview with an artistic director of the Polish theatre in Lviv. The man had been connected to the theatre since childhood: his parents worked in the premises of “Skarbek theatre”, and his uncle was a lighting technician at the Opera House. During school years, he went into amateur theatre and continued working with this team when at university; then, he received professional education in Moscow, combining education with working on television. He has actively cooperated with troops of other theatres. The interview contains the description of the peculiarities of amateur theatres compared to academic ones: characteristic features of the repertoire, specifics of the creative staff and the organization of work in general.
