An interview with a writer, once a newspaper correspondent at “Slava Rodiny (Glory to the Motherland)” at the theatre of the Carpathian Military District  (PrykVO) that was renamed into "The Army of Ukraine" after Ukraine gained independence. The man was born in Orlovsk region and moved to Lviv at the end of World War II. The interviewee tells about his professional life: how he started writing for the press, how he joined the theatrical life in general, and the theatre PrykVO in particular. As a journalist of a theatre newspaper, he wrote essays, reviews of plays and literary portraits. The interviewee frequently compares the former and current state of a theatre, which are often not in favor of the present times.
