An interview with a director, founder and artistic director of the Lviv Academic spiritual theatre “Resurrection”. The interviewee got interested in theatre at the very childhood and later received special education in Kharkiv and Moscow. He describes in detail how his theatre started its work in Lviv and how difficult it was to find the premises. He describes the core team that formed the theatre from the very beginning and the changes it underwent. He also tells about the specifics of the repertoire and the theatre’s creative searches that let it find its niche. Focusing on the changes in the audience, the interviewee considers the theatre’s role in the modern world and underlines a social aspect of art. Finally, he tells about the peculiarities of street performances and the participation of a theatre in international festivals.
