Interview with a man born in Lviv. The man told about his childhood on Kastelivka Street, where he was born, raised, and lived all his life. He described the housing, and the surrounding streets. After the Polytechnic, in 1970, he was referred to work at the Electron Design Bureau for Television Technology. He worked as a designer; since 1978 he has been a chief engineer. Since 1982, he has been the head of the television department. In the same year, he became the deputy chief engineer. From 1991 to 1996, he was the head of the R&D department. In 1996-1999 the man was transferred to Electron's subsidiary for cable technology, and worked as Deputy Director for Technical Affairs. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Electron. In general, he talked mostly about management and holding of managerial positions, about the hierarchy, the relations between him and his subordinates; the process of developing TVs was not much in the interview's focus. While working for Electron, he was on the Labor Disputes Commission and Deputy Chairman of the Labor Council. He met his wife on the trip to the mountains organized by the plant. She worked as a designer in the department of special appliances.
