Description
The film contains an amateur film report on the opening of a bridge over the Desna River:

1) 00:00:10 - 00:01:02 — Scenic views of nature precede the official opening ceremony. Anatolii Andriyovych Makhinko, head of the district executive committee, delivers a speech. Chubatyi, Zadorozhnyi, and Karman.

2) 00:01:03 - 00:07:08 — A ferry carrying a horse-drawn cart, trucks, and cars. Footage of river transport and boats on the Desna. Views of the floating bridge near the village of Obolonnia and the bridge construction process. Winter work on the dam and supports for the new reinforced concrete bridge. A crawler crane. Men on top of the first section of the bridge that was built. Builders lay concrete and secure reinforcement rods. Panoramic shots highlight the spans of the bridge. Students pose for a group photo in front of the completed structure. The load-bearing capacity of the bridge is tested using KamAZ and KrAZ-255B trucks filled with stones. Officials inspect the site.

3) 00:07:09 - 00:12:45 — A ceremonial rally takes place to mark the official opening of the bridge. Speeches are delivered by Karman, Ostapenko, Ivan Andriyovych Zhykhor, and Anatolii Andriyovuch Makhinko. The ribbon is cut. A newlywed couple, accompanied by family and guests, crosses the bridge as part of a wedding procession that includes VAZ-2101 and AZLK-2140 cars. Trucks carrying flax and timber. Rally attendees stroll across the new bridge. A group of students listens to an Ocean-209 radio. Runners pass by. A mother walks with her child. A fisherman floats in a boat.

Voice-over narration by L. Petrenko is delivered in a poetic and elevated tone. The film was created by Dmytro Kozel, V. Nikitin, L. Petrenko, and A. Makienko.

The second audio track serves as an editing cue sheet for the film and contains a frame-by-frame description of persons, objects, actions, and editing plans. Its tone is humorous: Dmytro Kozel imitates the sound of a hammer.
