The film contains an amateur film report on the construction of a dam on the Desna River:

1) 00:00:11 - 00:02:40 — Filmed through a Uran-27 lens. Sunrise over the Desna River. A barge and a motorboat. A flock of geese. A father and son travel by boat. Bicycles are ferried across the river. A tugboat and a ferry crossing. A horse-drawn cart is ferried across. An excerpt from The Enchanted Desna by Oleksandr Dovzhenko is read.

2) 00:02:41 - 00:05:21 — Footage of a floating bridge near the village of Obolonnia. An anchor. A man fishes nearby. A queue of vehicles awaits the crossing. Buses, horse-drawn carts, and trucks with passengers are crossing the bridge. Panoramic views of the Desna River banks. Another horse-drawn cart crosses the river. A voice-over recounts the 1973 decision by the Korop District Executive Committee to build a high-water road between the villages of Vilne and Prydesnianske. Anatolii Andriyovych Makhinko, head of the executive committee, visits the construction site.

3) 00:05:22 - 00:12:26 — Trucks gather on the central square near the Book store. A K-700 tractor with two trailers, GAZ-51 and ZIL-130 trucks, and a Belarus MTZ-5 tractor with trailer move along a forest road. A goods export plan. Advertisements offer motorcycles and cars for sale. Bulldozers are at work. Footage of the construction headquarters. A poster with performance indicators. Komsomol youth assist on the site: driving piles and sawing timber. Close-ups of young workers. Boys ride bicycles. A temporary wooden bridge. Sand is dumped by a truck. A woman maintains construction records. A man washes his hands in a can. A field sink. A lunch break. Refueling of construction equipment. Pile driving continues near a VEF-202 radio.

4) 00:12:27 - 00:17:32 — The construction site is visited by Hero of the Soviet Union, Air Marshal Serhii Ihnatovych Rudenko. Pile driving and dam reinforcement work continues. Operators of heavy machinery are at work. The song Hope (Надежда) by Anna German plays in the background.

The soundtrack includes a voice-over narration by L. Petrenko and musical compositions.

The second audio track serves as an editing cue sheet for the film and contains a frame-by-frame description of persons, objects, actions, and editing plans. The tone is humorous: Dmytro Kozel imitates the sounds of engine motors and pile drivers.
