The film contains an amateur film report about a holiday on the last day of winter:

1) 00:00:10 - 00:06:45 — Three horses. Boys near the holiday information tables. The orchestra plays. A theatrical speech about perestroika. A costume parade with banners: on the back of each truck, participants depict pages of Soviet history — from the October Revolution, to victory in the Great Patriotic War, and space flight. Decorated tractors pass by. Young people dance in folk costumes. Natalia Rozhkova’s song Laugh Loudly, Children (Громче смейтесь дети) is playing. Halyna Kozel films with a camera. Speeches by Did Moroz, Snow Maiden, and Spring. Spring presents a loaf to the head of the collective farm. General shots of the audience. Khotabych hands the key to the field and village to the collective farm head, Ivan Mykolayovych. Ditties are played.

2) 00:06:44 - 00:15:36 — Performances by amateur groups on stage. A skit about moonshine lovers, with barking dogs overlaid. Folk songs performed from the stage. A theatrical performance. Song groups perform. The song Burning Pine (Горіла сосна) plays. Karatsiuba appears with a colleague. Women eat varenyky. The orchestra.

The soundtrack includes voice-over narration by L. Petrenko, marching and folk tunes, and carols.

The second audio track serves as an editing cue sheet for the film and contains a frame-by-frame description of persons, objects, actions, and editing plans. Dmytro Kozel mentions the people involved in the footage. He consults his daughter about the names of some characters in the scenes.
