5) 00:07:29 - 00:10:02 — A combine harvester gathers rapeseed. The driver starts a truck. A sanitation tanker-trailer is seen in the fields. Workers tend a potato field. The head of the Avangard collective farm, Oleksandr Hryhorovych Borovyk. The workers are talking. More scenes of harvesting and flax drying. Borovyk gets into a UAZ-469 vehicle. Footage of sewage tanks and horse-drawn carts. A voice-over emphasizes the message: “Happiness is our daily work on the earth.” Cows stand in a pond.
6) 00:10:03 - 00:13:50 - Oleksandr Borovyk visits workers at the lock station. Horses graze nearby. Journalists from the Czechoslovakian newspaper Pochodeň visit the farm.
