The film contains an amateur film report on the celebration of the first sheaf at the collective farm "Peremoha" in the village of Shabalyniv:

1) 00:00:04 - 00:05:09 — Shabalyniv village. The collective farm “Peremoha”. Sunrise over the fields. The poem Oh, Motherland, I am Thinking of You Again is read aloud. The celebration of the first sheaf begins with orchestra music. Pioneers carrying flowers take part. Veterans of the collective farm, Anton Yukhymovych Mashtalev and Olha Fedorivna, are awarded. A man rides a horse carrying ears of grain. Speech by Hryhorii Ivanovych Papka, secretary of the collective farm’s party committee. General shots of the audience. Labor veterans mow the ears to form the first sheaf. A choir performs. More general and portrait shots of the audience. A loaf is presented. The song Good Evening to You, Mr. Master is played.

2) 00:05:10 - 00:08:22 — Awarding of the best combine harvesters. The agronomist presents a loaf to a harvester. Pioneers recite poems and present flowers to collective farm officials. Girls weave wreaths. A song performance follows. Combine harvester Ivan Petrovych Papka raises the flag as the USSR anthem plays. Ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the combines.

3) 00:08:23 - 00:11:32 — Combine harvesters "Kolos" working in the field. Combine drivers Mykhailo Ivanovych Horbach and Vasyl Khalymonenko. Petro Antonovych Reznychenko drives a grain truck. Storks fly over the fields. Mowers at work. Awarding of workers. Speeches by Hryhorii Ivanovych Papka, secretary of the party committee, and Bovsiuk. Close-ups of spikelets in the field.

Voice-over narration by L. Petrenko and Halyna (Kozel) Antonenko.

The second audio track serves as an editing cue sheet for the film and contains a frame-by-frame description of persons, objects, actions, and editing plans. Dmytro Kozel provides sound imitations of agricultural machinery and announces his plans for the film’s musical score.
