The film contains footage of the daily work of the Lviv Department of Internal Affairs on Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR (2 Chernivetska Street).
1) 00:00:05 - 00:02:59 — The head of the Department, Vasyl Savovych Beryshchuk, leaves the gate of the department building and walks across the courtyard. Typists in the courtyard. A man wipes the bonnet of a GAZ-24 Volga car. An official with a briefcase exits the Administration gate. Men converse between official vehicles. Two officials at the entrance to the Administration. Police captain. Employees in the courtyard. An official gets into the Volga. "I worked for 18 years in the Administration. We protected rail transport in seven regions, including Volhynia and Zakarpattia. I investigated murders, robberies, and rapes. The expert department had equipment for operational purposes — recording crimes — and they let me use a Krasnogorsk-3 service camera. And I decided to film the everyday life of the police. I'm not in the frame, I couldn't give the camera to anyone else — it's not that easy to use." Commentary by Mykhailo Banakh.
2) 00:03:00 - 00:05:08 — Footage of employees heading to the entrance of the Department. Senior police lieutenant Sukhostavsky talks at the door. A man repairs the engine of a UAZ-469 car.
3) 00:05:09 - 00:07:39 — Kruglyak talks on the phone in his office. Lyubomyr Kulish types on a typewriter. Petro Velykyi reviews documents; behind him is a 1987 wall calendar with a railway theme. Lyudmila Sytnik performs calculations. Demchuk, Sych, and Kachmarik are in the office. The head of the secretariat, police captain Valentina Matvienko, reviews documents with colleagues, including Oleksandr Limovskyi. On the office wall is a calendar for 1989.
4) 00:07:40 - 00:10:10 — Office workers practising shooting with automatic weapons. 'We had mandatory shooting practice twice a year, which took place in Derevachi, a village on the way to Mykolaiv.' Comment by Mykhailo Banakh.
