An interview with a native resident of the village Koropets, Monastyrysk district in Ternopil oblast. Childhood memories contain many stories about the landowner Badeni, his manor, household, hired labor, as well as the fate of the host and his manor after 1939. A harmful trauma for the woman was the eviction of her grandfather to Siberia in 1941, which she witnessed. The narrator and other children from the village who were often curious about what was going on witnessed the shootings of Jews but did not want to talk much about it. The woman drew a detailed mental map of the town with the Jewish shrine, a bakery, a reading room, and other buildings significant for the residents of the town. Fragmentary were the memories of the Ukrainian-Polish opposition, the burning of the neighbouring village Puzhnyky, and the deportation of the Poles to Poland.
