The magnificent, impressive gate of the main entrance of Lviv Railway Station led to the main lobby, decorated at that time with wall paintings that symbolized Industry and Progress. These were the works of Lviv artists J. and D. Bal and Z. Balko. The wrought iron gate, decorated with a rich Secession floral ornament, was designed by the professor of the Lviv Industrial School, architect Władysław Sadlowski, at the Krakow enterprise of Józef Hurecki.
