Description

In 1883–1884, a building for the city fire brigade was constructed next to the Bernardine Monastery on Charnetskogo Street (Vynnychenko Street), opposite Lychakivska Street. In addition to the quarters for the sergeant and firefighters, the building housed two stables for 14 horses and two warehouses for pumps and other equipment. In 1901, with the construction of a new building for the city fire brigade at 6 Pidvalna Street, the firefighters moved to the new specialized facility, and the previous building was used by other institutions. It ceased to exist in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
