Since 1839, the command of the XI Army Corps stationed in Lviv (XI. Korpskommando) was headquartered at 6 Bernardynska Square in a building purchased by the army from the merchant Glikselli. The same building housed the residence of the corps commander (Korpskommandantund Kommandierender General), and the quartermaster's office was located here. The practice was stable in the interwar period as the Military Forces Command was also located here and in Soviet times, the military commandant's office. Now the building is also used for its intended purpose.
