Between June 5th and October 16th 1894, the General County Exhibition was held in Lviv in Stryisky Park, giving powerful impetus to the rapid development of industry and trade in Galicia. Over the course of five months 1,147,329 people visited the exhibition. On September 7th, 1894, the General County Exhibition was visited by its patron: Emperor Franz Joseph I. The 50 hectares of the exhibition space and 130 pavilions, designed, built, and furnished by the best specialists in Lviv, could not be used for other purposes after the exhibition. Only three prominent constructions stood the test of time: the Palace of Arts, the Racławice Panorama, and the water tower. The photo shows the view of the Exhibition from the side of Paniatovsky street, the main entrance into the exhibition ground with the Racławice Panorama visible to the left.
