The photo shows the Städtisches Flußbad (public bath in the river Pruth), a popular municipal sports and recreation place in Chernivtsi until World War Two. <br />
The bath was situated a little upstreams from the street bridge and was the oldest of the public river baths in town. In the time beween the world wars it was named Mamaia. <br />
In the background the bridge for pedestrians and individual transportation and the railway bridge can be seen. <br /><br /><em>Helmut Kusdat</em>
