Between 1951 and 1959, a culture and leisure park was established in the south-western part of Lviv on the site of former brickworks. Subsequently, given the park’s popularity, simple attractions were set up there: a laughter room, a billiards room, a dance floor and an open-air summer stage. Later, in the 1960s, a stadium was built; in the 1970s, the ‘Romantic’ concert and entertainment centre and the ‘Ferris wheel’, offering a panoramic view of the city, were constructed.
