Description

The original wooden church on this site was built in 1607 at the expense of the burgher Petro Moskalyk. ! In 1703, missionaries built a brick building; during the siege of Lviv in 1704, the Swedish king Charles XII stayed here for some time. In 1747-1784, a theological seminary was located here. After the abolition of the order, a military warehouse was arranged here, and from 1906 - the St. Adalbert Boarding School Society. After 1945, the church was closed, since then it has been used as a warehouse. Since 2001, the Greek Catholic Church of St. Josaphat and All Ukrainian Martyrs has been located here, as well as the center of the religious and public organization "Miles Jesu", which is engaged in preaching among young people.
