View of the Main Pavilion under construction (the photo shows its back side). The Main Pavilion was built according to the design of the Hungarian architect and military István Médiasoy (based on his diploma thesis after studying with the Viennese architect Otto Wagner - the National Pavilion on Gellert Hill in Budapest). Built of wood, the Main Pavilion was quite large (about 46 x 8.5 m). Above the entrance was placed the new coat of arms of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, approved by Franz Joseph in 1915, by the prominent Austrian heraldist N.G. Štröl.
