- ID: 424
- Place: Lviv
- Date: 1915-1916
View of the dining room-restaurant from the entrance to the central pavilion at the Military Exhibition of the Second Army. The dining room-restaurant was built according to the design of Otto Schönthal. The building is relatively large, with an irregular kurdoner (about 23 x 10 m). The main part has a high roof, a turret in the Wiener Werkstatles style - in the shape of a crystal, reminiscent of the hippodrome tower for judges on the Vienna Prater built earlier by the same architect. The wooden decorations on the side walls are completely Viennese and resemble his design for the Kunstschau café of 1908. The restaurant also housed a cinema - Feldkino (Field Cinema), which operated during 1916-1917. On the right is part of the main pavilion, in front of which you can clearly see the full-profile trenches made, the walls of which are reinforced with wicker branches. In front of the trenches - a strip of barbed wire.
