“It’s a picture of my mother Valentyna Nikolaieva. At that time, she was working as an engineer. She is wearing a hat made of swan fluff. She says that her close friend made this hat for her: first, she made a frame by herself, and then she sewed the swan fluff in. Mom still keeps this hat though she hasn't worn it in decades. I recollect how I loved to touch this hat as a kid. It reminded me of the film "The Irony of Fate" where a similar headdress was worn by the main character’s bride named Halia."
