It’s a picture of my mom Natalia Chorna, young and happy first-year student of Dnipropetrovsk State University. She’s wearing a fashionable grey costume made in Ordzhonikidze atelier. It was a for-all-occasions costume. In the picture mom is wearing it’s light variant: long quilted jacket (shorter jackets were trendy, but my mom had it like this), straight narrow skirt slightly below the knee and white shirt with narrow stripes. There was another variant of this costume made from the same grey wool fabric - slacks and fitted jacket. You could combine them any way you like and every time have a new outfit. Mom wore this and dark-blue warp knitted costume (there were costumes with a sweater that looked like lace and straight pleated skirt with underlining) and long grey knitted cardigan during all her student years. She changed only scarves and long beaded necklaces (she loved them all her life)”.
